| The first study on sexual harassment in the Finnish academic world was conducted in the University of Helsinki in 1995. The material was collected through a questionnaire sent to 1000 students and 1002 members of staff, all randomly chosen. The study showed that 11 % of the staff members and 3 % of the students had been subject to sexual harassment at some point during their time at the University. During the preceding two years, 7 % of the staff members and 3 % of the students had been sexually harassed. | |
