| This article explores queer-feminist digital knowledge production in Azerbaijan, tracing its shift from early didactic activism shaped by global sexual rights paradigms towards more complex and contextually embedded practices. Drawing on the digital activities of four grassroots organizations, it analyses how activists are entangled within authoritarian control, postcolonial epistemic dependencies, and global visibility demands. Through feminist pedagogy, counterarchiving, statactivism, and radical peace discourse, these actors generate diverse forms of digital knowledge(s) that both resist state hostility and engage with global frameworks. However, their practices also reveal ongoing tensions between visibility and vulnerability, adaptation and dependency, and local decolonial aspirations and global epistemic hierarchies, reflecting the intricate dynamics of feminist and queer activism in Azerbaijan’s postcolonial authoritarian context. | |
