| „Feminisms in Movement“ vereint eine große Fülle an Beiträgen zu feministischen Bewegungen in den Amerikas. Mit dem Bewusstsein, dass nicht zuletzt die Kolonisierung eine Vielzahl an sich überschneidender Dominanzsysteme produziert hat, wird hier ein Licht auf verschiedene Formen feministischer Theorien und Praktiken geworfen, die sich mit diesen auseinandersetzen und dagegen ankämpfen. Dem liegt ein explizit plurales Verständnis von Feminismus zu Grunde, welches Rücksicht auf die Diversität der Hintergründe und Umstände feministischer Praktiken nimmt und sich den gängigen Kategorisierungen des weißen, westlichen Feminismus verweigert. Die Aufsätze behandeln Themen von Sexismus, sexualisierte Gewalt, Homo- und Transfeindlichkeit, über Kolonialismus, Extraktivismus bis hin zur Klimakrise und die Ausbeutung durch neoliberalen Kapitalismus. Ohne Anspruch auf vollständige Repräsentation zu erheben wird ein Einblick in die vielfältigen und innovativen Formen des feministischen Widerstands in den Amerikas gegeben. Dafür sorgt die Bandbreite an Beitragenden mit unterschiedlichen Hintergründen und Perspektiven, inklusive Rita Laura Segato, Mara Viveros Vigoya, Yuderkys Espinosa-Miñoso, Anielle Franco und dem feministischen chilenischen Kollektiv LASTESIS. Auch die Beiträge selbst nehmen diverse Formen an, von theoretischen Essays über Interviews bis zu Gedichten.
