The research project "State of the Art of Academic Production on Feminism, Gender, and Women in Higher Education Institutions in the Metropolitan Area of the Aburrá Valley until 2021," conducted by the program Feminist and Gender Studies about Sex, Gender, and Bodily Dissidence, part of the research line Feminism, Gender, Intersectionality, and Political Subjects of the Master's in Education and Human Rights (MEDH) at the Universidad Autónoma Latinoamericana (UNAULA), addresses the collective concern about the lack of systematized information about local research related to knowledge generated by women and regarding their questions and needs. The study focuses on UNAULA as a particular context, aiming to analyze the academic production in the field of women's, feminist, and gender studies from 1997 to 2019. A total of 42 undergraduate, specialization and masters dissertations, were examined, evaluating their issues, methodological designs, and contributions to the field through a documentary analysis. The results show that this field of study at UNAULA developed within the core of Social and Human Sciences, where the majority of the analyzed theses were produced, with a notable presence in the Law research space, with a particular interest in analyzing the legal changes of women's human rights, focusing on topics that question the effectiveness of regulations aimed at protecting their lives, identifying gaps in the application of these laws, and contributing to the strengthening of their implementation.
