Given their influential role in supporting holiday projects, the network of social work professionals, the "Vacances Ouvertes" association, was questioned about their level of adherence to gender stereotypes in various spheres (family life, professional life, parental roles, etc.). Practically speaking, the findings demonstrated the same gender segregation as in the French population, but to a lesser extent: women in care roles or looking after children and men at work. However, very few professionals in the field argue that implementing a holiday project depends on the gender of the beneficiaries. Nevertheless, some people still perpetuate gendered representations, such as "cooking is a woman's work", while "planning a route would be better done by a man". It is notable that the professionals supporting holiday projects - the majority of whom are female - adhere less to stereotypical conceptions than their male counterparts.
